The Newfoundland Pony is very rare and fewer than 500 registered NP exist today. A few dedicated breeders, in conjunction with Heritage Livestock Canada, are determined to save our “made in Canada” pony and with your help, we will!
Our precious ponies are hand made, limited edition replicas of the actual pony. Carefully crafted by a young Canadian artist from Edmonton, they are lovingly sewn, one at a time, by Katarina Chalus. Katarina grew up with a love of horses and a determination to have as many as she could. To fund her goal, she began sewing at an early age and soon gained fame for her attention to detail and exquisite craftsmanship. She has perfectly captured our ponies and we are excited to be working with her.
