Ensuring the survival of heritage breeds through the next generation.
HLC 4H Incentive.
Started in memory of past Chair, John Mills who held a strong belief that HLC encourage youth as much as possible, the program has continued over the years. We are now accepting entrants for 2024.
For any 4H member working with a heritage breed, as designated on our conservation list and for poultry - we will send $25 upon completion of the project. Alongside the $25 completed projects will be featured in Genesis, the publication of HLC and also on the HLC Facebook page.
To take part:
1. Choose a qualifying animal as your project, based upon HLC’s conservation lists.
2. Notify HLC of your project by June 1st
3. Upon completion of your project send a photo, along with a short story about your project.
